Overview

The Advisory Plan Commission is a seven-member board that oversees policies regarding the growth and development of Avon. Issues that come before the Advisory Planning Commission include the following:

  • Transportation planning
  • Environmental planning
  • Long-range planning
  • Zoning code compliance
  • Review of development proposals and permits

Plans that are developed by the Advisory Plan Commission include the following:

  • Comprehensive Plan
  • Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
  • Subdivision Control Ordinance
  • Official Zoning Maps
